CV-A1
analog progressive scan camera

The CV-A1 is a monochrome area scan camera providing 1.4-megapixel resolution (1380 x 1035), but over a unique analog progressive scan interface (non-interlaced). It features the Sony ICX205 CCD for excellent image quality at a frame rate of 16 fps.

Analog progressive scan output

The CV-A1 provides output over a traditional analog coaxial connector but with a full progressive scan readout that supports higher resolution than standard interlaced output and avoids “comb effect” interlaced artifacts.

CCD image quality

The CV-A1 features the Sony ICX205AL CCD with 4.65-micron square pixels and a smearless readout mode for low noise images with excellent contrast and dynamic range.

Partial scanning and binning support

The CV-A1 includes three partial scanning settings that can increase frame rates up to 75 fps. Also included is support for 1x2, 2x1, and 2x2 binning for up to 4X normal sensitivity.

Features

  • Analog progressive scan camera with monochrome CCD and 1/2” optical format.

  • 1380 x 1035 resolution at 16 fps.

  • 4.65 x 4.65-micron pixel size.

  • Supports 1x2, 2x1, and 2x2 binning options for up to 4 times normal sensitivity.

  • Partial scanning modes can increase frame rate up to 75 fps for 1/6 resolution.

  • 5 µs minimum exposure time.

  • RS232C control of all camera settings.

MP-40 Tripod Mounting Plate

Tripod adapter for all JAI industrial M- and A-series cameras (except CV-M53x and CV-M436)

Only use the supplied M3 screws for mounting to camera body. Using longer screws can damage internal circuit boards. NOTE: For CV-A10GE and CV-M70GE use the MP-41 adapter plate.

IR-cut Filter

A universal IR-cut filter for JAI monochrome cameras. Fits into the C-mount thread of most cameras to help enhance MTF and contrast.

NOTE: When using this filter. please observe the protrusion of the exit pupil lens. Lenses with long exit pupil protrusion, typically wide angle lenses, can damage the IR-cut filter.

PC-6P Hirose 6-pin Connector

The HR10A-7P-6S is a universal connector used for power and control signals for most JAI Go Series cameras and can also be used with serial communication (RS-232C) connectors on some CV Series models. The connector is a female plug, with sockets, that mates to the connector on the back of the camera. It has soldering cups for easy assembly of custom cables.

Here are a few applications where CV-A1 industrial cameras are especially suitable

CV-A1 analog progressive scan cameras can be used in a variety of machine vision applications.

Factory automation equipment

Traditional coaxial cabling can cover large distances with good noise immunity to surrounding machinery.

Medical equipment

Inspecting seals, tubing, syringes, and many other medical items can utilize the many features of the CV-A1.

Metrology

CV-A1 cameras offer better resolution than traditional analog interlaced cameras for finer precision in metrology systems.

Electronics inspection

CV-A1 cameras are adaptable to many types of inspection systems for sorting components, checking bare boards, and analyzing component placement.
