High speed 16K trilinear RGB line scan camera

The JAI Sweep SW-16000TL-CXP4A is a high-speed industrial trilinear color line scan camera with 16K resolution. The camera features large, sensitive 5 μm x 5 μm pixels and a CoaXPress 2.0 interface operating at CXP-12 speed. With a maximum scan rate of 100 kHz, the camera supports data output of up to 12.5 Gbps for each of the four CXP lines making it ideal for applications requiring both high resolution and fast scanning speeds, including PCB, battery, flat panel, print inspection, and other high-speed web applications.

16K resolution combined with high-speed scanning capabilities

With 3 x 16,384 pixels RGB output and a scanning speed of up to 100 kHz (100,000 lines/s), it is an ideal choice for machine vision applications that require both high throughput and inspection of small features.

Large sensitive 5 μm x 5 μm pixels

The camera’s large 5 μm x 5 μm pixels offer greater light sensitivity than other 16K line scan cameras with smaller pixels, allowing for faster inspection speeds with the same lighting or cost savings by using lower-intensity lighting.

High throughput with CoaXPress 2.0 interface

The CoaXPress 2.0 interface supports CXP-12 speeds, delivering up to 12.5 Gbps per line, or a total of 50 Gbps across four lines. This high throughput is crucial for applications demanding both high resolution and fast scanning speeds.

  • 2 x 1 horizontal pixel binning (10 μm x 5 μm pixel size) for improved light sensitivity.

  • Region-of- Interest (ROI). The scan rate can be increased by reducing the scanning width.

  • Individual gain and exposure control for RGB lines.

  • Edge Enhancer function to enhance image contrast of lines and edges.

  • Built-in color space conversion for accurate color representation. (RGB to HSI, CIE XYZ, sRGB, Adobe RGB, and custom Color Correction Matrix).

  • Pixels Sensitivity Correction (PRNU/DSNU), black level, white balancing, shading correction, chromatic aberration correction.

  • M95 lens mount.

  • Excellent shock (80G) and vibration (10G) resistance.

Flat panel display inspection

Ideal for surface inspection of flat panels and displays, JAI´s 16K camera checks color accuracy and detects defects such as dead pixels, scratches, and other imperfections.

PCB inspection

The Sweep SW-16000TL camera is perfect for automated optical inspection in various stages of PCB manufacturing, including bare board inspection, gold finger checks, semiconductor inspection, and printed circuit board assembly (PCBA) inspection.

Semiconductor inspection:

The cameras can be used for detecting defects on bare wafers, such as micro cracks and scratches, along with inspecting patterned wafers for pattern defects and photomask alignment, as well as quality and defect inspections on mounted chip circuits within semiconductor packages.

Print and web inspection
