FSFE-3200T-10GE (Flex-Eye)

JAI's FSFE-3200T-10GE model is a 3-CMOS multispectral prism camera design that you can customize to meet the needs of your application. It features three, prism-mounted 3.2-megapixel CMOS imagers that are aligned to a common optical path for perfect image registration regardless of motion or viewing angle. The Flex-Eye concept lets you create your own custom version of this camera. You define the width and location for each of the camera's three wavebands, placing them all in the visible spectrum or in a combination of visible and NIR locations required to maximize the effectiveness of your vision system for multispectral inspection or analysis.

Multispectral imaging YOUR WAY!

With Flex-Eye you can custom design your own multispectral camera, getting simultaneous imaging of visible or visible plus near infrared wavebands fine-tuned to your specific application. For each of the 3-CMOS sensors you can define the spectral location and width of the waveband within the spectral range of 405 nm to 1000 nm.

Higher resolution and higher efficiency

The new generation of JAI’s multispectral Fusion cameras provides four times higher resolution than previous models and sets a new standard for frame rates (107 frames/s in full resolution) thanks to the use of a fast “Pregius" sensor (IMX252), as well as the use of a high-speed 10 GigE interface.

Replaces multiple inspection stations with a single camera setup

JAI’s multispectral prism technology ensures perfect three-channel alignment, allowing users to replace multiple inspection stations with a single setup, providing both ease of use and lower equipment and maintenance costs. All designed to lead to better efficiency, productivity and quality of your vision system.

  • Separate exposure control for each channel allows the channels to be adjusted to one another without changes in the gain – maintaining a consistent signal-to-noise ratio at all times.

  • Sequencer function for on-the–fly change of gain, exposure and ROI settings.

  • Supports IEEE 1588 Precision Time Protocol for synchronization in multi-camera applications.

  • Triple-stream output enables all 3 wavebands to be simultaneously output over a single cable.

  • Supports separate or unified control of key camera parameters for each channel.

  • Single- and multi-ROI modes provide higher speeds with lower processing loads.

  • Excellent shock and vibration resistance with high MTBF for supreme reliability and durability giving low-cost of ownership.

Fusion Series Flex-Eye area scan cameras are the ideal choice if you have multispectral imaging applications needing customized visible or visible plus NIR wavebands in order to optimize their effectiveness.

Fruit and vegetable inspection

Fruit and vegetable inspection that simultaneously look at colors, ripeness, damages, signs of rot under skin, as well as detecting foreign objects (e.g. stones, metal pieces etc.).

Inspection of nuts, almonds and olives

The color, size, shape and damage of nuts and almonds can be inspected using a visible channel, while foreign objects (including olive pits) are more clearly seen with NIR channels. A custom designed multispectral camera can help to reveal new information and increase inspection efficiency.

Life sciences/digital pathology

Multispectral analysis helps identify specific types of cells, viruses, or other entities that may be difficult to classify in a single spectral band.

Fluorescence-guided surgery
