JAI's FS-1600D-10GE is a 2-CMOS multispectral prism camera providing simultaneous images of different spectral bands in a single camera - a visible color channel from 400-670 nm and a near infrared (NIR) channel from 740-1000 nm. This makes it possible to simultaneously inspect surface properties and sub-surface defects. A backwards-compatible 10 GigE interface provides exceptional speed and networking flexibility.
The visible light channel outputs RGB or Bayer color images spanning the wavelengths visible to the human eye. The NIR channel, on the other hand, “sees” below the surface of organic and other materials to detect imperfections the human eye cannot see.
JAI’s prism technology ensures perfect two-channel alignment, allowing users to replace multiple inspection stations with a single setup, providing both ease of use and lower equipment and maintenance costs.
Separate exposure control for each channel allows the channels to be adjusted to one another without changes in the gain – maintaining a consistent signal-to-noise ratio at all times.
Prism-based 2-CMOS multispectral area scan camera that simultaneously captures visible and near-IR light.
Backwards-compatible 10GBASE-T (10 GigE) interface auto-negotiates to match the speed of connected equipment including NBASE-T (5 GigE and 2.5 GigE) and standard 1 Gbps 1000BASE-T GigE Vision.
Sequence trigger mode for on-the–fly change of gain, exposure and ROI.
Supports IEEE 1588 Precision Time Protocol for synchronization in multi-camera applications.
Color output can be raw Bayer (8/10/12-bit) or 24/30-bit RGB using 5x5 in-camera interpolation.
Dual-stream output enables color and NIR images to be simultaneously output over a single cable.
Color Enhancer and Edge Enhancer functions included.
Single- and multi-ROI modes.
20 percent better NIR sensitivity than previous CCD models.

The HR10A-10P-12S is a universal connector used for power and control signals for many JAI cameras. The connector is a female plug, with sockets, that mates to the connector on the back of the camera. It has soldering cups for easy assembly of custom cables.
Tripod adapter for Fusion Series cameras and some discontinued models with 40 mm spacing between mounting holes.
Only use the supplied M3 screws having the proper length. Using longer screws can damage internal circuit boards.
The 10P-10M-AUX is 10-meter cable for JAI cameras equipped with a 10-pin Hirose “auxiliary” connector. The plug at one end of the cable connects to the 10-pin connector on the back of the JAI camera. Flying leads at the other end of the cable can be used to send/receive TTL signals to/from specific pins on the auxiliary connector. Not all I/O functions may be supported depending on the pinout of each camera model. Check the pinout carefully or consult with JAI before purchasing.

The Fusion Series cameras are the perfect starting point for a wide range of machine vision applications.
The color, size, shape and damage nuts and almonds can be inspected using the RGB channel, while foreign objects (including olive pits) are more clearly seen with the NIR channel
Inspection of stuffed PCB boards including traces, solder, component placement/alignment, shorting, and other items where color and NIR inspection is important.
Color inspection of magazines and pharmaceutical packaging as well as currency inspection looking at color correctness, water marks and security features woven into bank notes.
Surface inspection of flat panels/displays looking for scratches and defective screen pixels.
Precision agriculture or intelligent farming has seen an exponential growth in the recent years. Removal of weeds or wild plants is of growing importance in intelligent farming.
Fruit and vegetable inspection simultaneous looking at colors, ripeness, damages, signs of rot under skin, as well as detecting foreign objects (e.g. stones, metal pieces etc.)
