12.4-megapixel area scan camera

The SP-12401M-PGE provides 12-megapixel monochrome resolution at up to 9.3 fps over a standard GigE Vision interface. Featuring the Sony Pregius IMX304 CMOS imager, it delivers outstanding low-noise image quality suitable for a wide range of high resolution machine vision applications.

Compact optical format

The SP-12401M-PGE features Sony’s advanced 3.45 µm pixel technology, enabling its 12.37-megapixel resolution to fit in a compact 1.1” optical format for more lens options and a smaller, lighter form factor.

Excellent sensitivity and image quality

Also available in a model with color output, the SP-12401-PGE cameras feature a dark noise rating of less than 2.5 electrons for outstanding image quality even under low light conditions.

Advanced exposure control

The SP-12401-PGE handles difficult lighting situations with ease - indoors or out – thanks to JAI’s Auto Level Control (ALC) function, which links auto shutter and auto gain for smart exposure control under any condition.

PD-12 Power Supply

A universal power supply that works with all JAI cameras equipped with a 12-pin Hirose power connector. Four versions are available:

PD-12UUP U.S. plug with 12-pin Hirose connector to camera

PD-12UU U.S. plug, flying leads (no 12-pin connector)

MP-45 Tripod Mounting Plate

Tripod adapter features mounting holes to fit spacing on second generation Spark Series housings (e.g., SP-12401). Standard 1/4-20 attachment to tripods. Includes M3 screws (Depth 3). Only use the supplied screws or other screws having the proper length. Using longer screws can damage internal circuit boards.

PC-12P Hirose 12-pin Connector

The HR10A-10P-12S is a universal connector used for power and control signals for many JAI cameras. The connector is a female plug, with sockets, that mates to the connector on the back of the camera. It has soldering cups for easy assembly of custom cables.

12P-02S Power Cable

This cable features flying leads on one end and a Hirose 12-pin connector on the other wired to match the pinout of JAI cameras with 12-pin connectors. The flying leads enable power to be supplied via two of the Hirose pins, while the remaining wires/pins can be utilized to access various I/O functions of JAI cameras (see individual camera datasheets/manuals for functions accessible through the Hirose connectors).

The cables can be used with JAI’s own “flying leads” power supplies, or with third-party or custom power supply systems.

10P-10M-AUX Auxiliary TTL cable

The 10P-10M-AUX is 10-meter cable for JAI cameras equipped with a 10-pin Hirose “auxiliary” connector. The plug at one end of the cable connects to the 10-pin connector on the back of the JAI camera. Flying leads at the other end of the cable can be used to send/receive TTL signals to/from specific pins on the auxiliary connector. Not all I/O functions may be supported depending on the pinout of each camera model. Check the pinout carefully or consult with JAI before purchasing.
