The CM-140GE is a monochrome CCD area scan camera combining a compact form factor with traditional CCD image quality. It provides 1.4-megapixel resolution at 31 frames per second, with 8-bit or 10-bit output. Features like ROI readout and a sequencer function make it a versatile performer for a wide range of applications.
They don’t have the full speed or low power consumption of CMOS, but if your application requires the low noise and excellent contrast of a CCD imager, C Series cameras can provide it. Note: CCD supplies are limited and are subject to discontinuation. CMOS cameras are recommended for projects with long intended lifecycles.
C Series cameras feature a low profile design with top and bottom mounting holes, enabling them to fit easily into many types of machine vision systems. Standard GigE Vision interfaces offer easy cabling and networking options, while Mini Camera Link interfaces are also available on some models.
Like all JAI cameras, C Series models are built to last in industrial environments. Excellent thermal management, plus high shock (70G) and vibration (10G) ratings result in trouble-free operation, with MTBF values that range from 130,000 to over 200,000 hours, depending on the model.

This cable features flying leads on one end and a Hirose 12-pin connector on the other wired to match the pinout of JAI cameras with 12-pin connectors. The flying leads enable power to be supplied via two of the Hirose pins, while the remaining wires/pins can be utilized to access various I/O functions of JAI cameras (see individual camera datasheets/manuals for functions accessible through the Hirose connectors).
The cables can be used with JAI’s own “flying leads” power supplies, or with third-party or custom power supply systems.
Tripod adapter for all JAI industrial M- and A-series cameras (except CV-M53x and CV-M436)
Only use the supplied M3 screws for mounting to camera body. Using longer screws can damage internal circuit boards. NOTE: For CV-A10GE and CV-M70GE use the MP-41 adapter plate.
The C Series cameras are the perfect starting point for a wide range of machine vision applications.
Vision systems for track and trace, pill sorting, inspecting vials and ampoules, and many other applications, can all utilize C Series cameras.
From vision-guided robot arms to autonomous vehicles, C Series cameras provide high quality images in a compact yet industrial-grade form factor.
Low-noise CCD images provide clean edges and sharp details for critical measurements of size, shape, or placement of systems or parts during inspection.
For simple to complex barcode and OCR-type applications, C Series cameras help to discern critical details, even under less than optimal lighting conditions.
C Series cameras fit nicely into systems for inspecting printed circuit boards, sorting small parts, and other electronics-related applications.
