The AD-131GE is a 1.3-megapixel prism-based 2-CCD HDR camera featuring two monochrome sensors with sensitivity in the visible spectrum. The shutter and gain settings of the two CCDs can be set independently and by fusing the two synchronized video streams, the camera provides up to double the dynamic range of standard CCD cameras.
JAI’s Fusion HDR cameras have the ability to distinguish details in scenes containing both very bright and relatively dark areas. This can occur in scenes where incident light is present (e.g., imaging a light source and the surrounding area).
The Fusion cameras are also ideal in situations with bright reflections or in high contrast indoor/outdoor scenes where there is a needs to capture details in both bright sunlight and dark shadows.
With HDR image fusion the AD-131GE combines the two monochrome images of the same scene (but taken with different exposure/gain setings), into a low noise and high quality single image spanning the broadest possible range of light intensities.
2 monochrome (Bayer color) CCD sensors mounted on an optical prism.
1296 x 966 active pixels per channel.
Choice of built-in image fusion or post processing routines to achieve nearly 120 dB dynamic range.
31 fps operation for HDR.
3.75 μm square pixels.
GigE Vision/GenICam compliant with 8-bit, 10-bit, or 12-bit per channel output.
Programmable exposure from 11.49µs to 31.761ms in one-line increments.
PIV (Particle Image Velocimetry) mode available.
Analog video output for auto-iris lens control.

Tripod adapter for Fusion Series cameras and some discontinued models with 40 mm spacing between mounting holes.
Only use the supplied M3 screws having the proper length. Using longer screws can damage internal circuit boards.
The HR10A-10P-12S is a universal connector used for power and control signals for many JAI cameras. The connector is a female plug, with sockets, that mates to the connector on the back of the camera. It has soldering cups for easy assembly of custom cables.
This cable features flying leads on one end and a Hirose 12-pin connector on the other wired to match the pinout of JAI cameras with 12-pin connectors. The flying leads enable power to be supplied via two of the Hirose pins, while the remaining wires/pins can be utilized to access various I/O functions of JAI cameras (see individual camera datasheets/manuals for functions accessible through the Hirose connectors).
The cables can be used with JAI’s own “flying leads” power supplies, or with third-party or custom power supply systems.
The Fusion Series HDR area scan cameras are the ideal choice in inspection tasks where incident light and bright reflections are present or in high contrast scenes.
Ideal for inspection of automotive parts with bright reflections or objects with large contrast between light and dark parts of the inspected items.
Inspection during glass bottle production looking at size/shape wall thickness, thin spots, wedge bottom, inclusions and in-bottle filament fractures, to catch problems with glass moulds.
The Fusion cameras are ideal in high contrast indoor/outdoor scenes where there is a need to capture details in both bright sunlight and dark shadows.
