Privacy policy

Privacy policy and use of your personal information

JAI respects your privacy. So you can visit JAI’s website anonymously without telling us who you are or revealing any information about yourself. (IP addresses are logged to track sessions. See more below)

On various occasions, however, we need further personal information from you, such as your name, company name, business e-mail address, and/or telephone number. This is typically in connection with the following events:

  • The first time you download JAI manuals, software, white papers and other documentation.
  • If you complete and submit a web form in which you provide consent to be contacted by JAI or one of JAI’s local distribution partners in your country.
  • If you choose to subscribe to JAI’s electronic newsletter.
  • If we have to contact you by mail or phone based on your request in a submitted form.

Consent with proper notice:
In the event that we ask you to provide further personal information like your name, working place, e-mail address, etc., you will be asked to give consent (by completing a tick box or submitting a form), that the information you provide to JAI can be electronically stored by JAI and that JAI or our local distribution partners can contact you by e-mail or phone to help answer your request.

Withdrawal of your consent:
If you have previously opted-in to receive JAI´s electronic newsletter we will always give you the possibility to easily withdraw your consent. All JAI electronic newsletters are provided with an opt-out option.

Request access to your personal data (Data portability):
You can request access to the personal data we have registered in our customer relationship data systems. Upon request JAI will provide you (via an e-mail) with an electronic copy of your personal data in storage.

Request deletion of your personal data:
You have the right to request that JAI permanently deletes all the personal data we have about you in our customer relationship databases. The right to deletion is not absolute, if for example JAI still has warranty, service or other obligations in the customer relationship.

Use and storage of personal information:
Personal information is collected via web forms that are completed by the visitor. Any personal information submitted to JAI is under the control of the visitor. We recognize that when you choose to provide us with information about yourself, you trust us to act in a responsible manner. We believe this information should only be used to help us provide you with better service.

Sharing of your personal information:
To provide you with a fast and relevant reply to your questions and/or request for a quotation, JAI will share your personal information with our distribution partners in your local country. On some occasions, we may also need to provide your name and delivery address to third parties that JAI uses for the purposes of delivering specific services to you, e.g., customer support, or a shipping company if you have asked us to send something to you. We will not provide any of your personal information to any other companies or individuals.

Secure data storage:
Whenever you provide personal information, we will take reasonable security measures to protect your personal information in storage. Personal data (for example your name, working place, product interest and e-mail address or other information you have provided to JAI) will be electronically stored in the "Salesforce Software System" and the "Hubspot Software System" which are used by JAI use to keep track of our relationships with customers. Some personal information may also be stored in the "Zendesk Support Ticketing System" if you have requested support from JAI.

Use of cookies and IP addresses:
JAI uses cookies on this website. A cookie is a small text file that is stored on a computer or mobile device when visiting a website. Cookies are used to remember the visitor’s preferences and tailor the web site to the visitor’s interests. When you visit JAI’s web site you are asked to accept the use of cookies. This will provide you with the optimal user experience and we are able to provide you with a better help and support in relation to find JAI products and services that are relevant to you.

Session cookies:
Session cookies are stored while you’re browsing JAI’s website. When you close your browser, they get deleted from your device.

Persistent cookies:
Persistent cookies are saved on your computer, and they don’t get deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies are used to recognize you when you use our website for more than one browsing session.

Change cookie settings:
You can delete and block cookies, but parts of JAI´s web site will not work without the cookies. How to change cookie settings in Microsoft Edge:

3. Select Settings from the menu that shows up.
4. Tap or click View Advanced Settings. You'll need to scroll down to the bottom of the page.

IP addresses:
IP addresses are logged to track a user's session while the user remains anonymous. We use this data for statistics and to analyze certain trends, such as which parts of our site users are visiting and how long they spend there. We do not link your IP addresses to anything personally identifiable to you.
