The SW-8000Q-CXP2A is a 4-CMOS prism-based industrial R-G-B-NIR line scan camera with four separate sensors for simultaneously capturing red, green, blue and near infrared spectral wavebands. Besides delivering supreme R-G-B color image data, the NIR image makes it possible to simultaneously identify an even wider set of defects on inspected objects. The camera has 8192 pixels per line and a fast, 73 kHz line rate based on a dual-line CoaXPress 2.0 CXP-12 interface. Included is an advanced set of features providing the best possible performance and precision for web-based or continuous color/NIR imaging applications.
The 8K line scan camera features a CoaXPress 2.0 CXP-12 interface, delivering true R-G-B-NIR output at scan rates of up to 73 kHz (73,000 lines per second). Connectivity is provided through two Micro-BNC connectors with support for Power-over-CoaXPress (PoCXP). The interface also supports CXP-6 and CXP-3 configuration.
Advanced in-camera prism technology precisely separates incoming light into red, green, blue, and near-infrared (NIR) wavelengths. Each is captured by a dedicated CMOS sensor through a single optical plane, ensuring accurate image alignment from virtually any viewing angle. Unlike quadlinear cameras, this approach eliminates off-angle viewing issues, spatial compensation errors, 3D cylindrical offsets, and other alignment challenges that can compromise image quality.
The SW-8000Q-CXP2A line scan camera offers a versatile set of advanced features, including individual gain/exposure control, in-camera RGB color space conversion to HSI, XYZ, sRGB, Adobe RGB, and custom formats, as well as vertical and horizontal binning. Direct rotary encoder connectivity further simplifies system integration, setup, and operation.
