JAI's VISCAM family of vehicle imaging systems feature a high performance network architecture that incorporates cameras, light sensors, illuminators, and other imaging components into a versatile solution for a wide range of traffic applications.
Multiple VISCAM systems can be combined and configured to fit virtually any size installation, including multiple lanes, multiple toll plazas, and distributed processing equipment.
Featuring static IP/DHCP support for TCP/IP configuration and an efficient "junction panel" for linking multiple systems, the VISCAM architecture simplifies installation and maintenance, which can be performed on-site or from the back office using point-to-point TCP/IP communications.
Patented light sensor technology, multiple camera options, and a variety of external illuminators, enable VISCAM systems to capture clear, high resolution high contrast images of vehicles and their number plates under all weather and lighting conditions.

FOV calculations assume the 11-12 pixels per inch (4.5-4.75 pixels per cm) needed for best results in automated plate reading software.
All VISCAM systems feature robust lane controller integration via JAI's EN series protocol, in-camera association of images with lane controller data, in-camera JPEG compression, and automatic transmission of information to FTP servers or JAI's own easy-to-use image server platform.
VISCAM systems can be integrated with third-party applications or with JAI's own VRS (Vehicle Recognition Suite) software for plate reading and visual matching tasks.
