JAI’s IIT (In-Image Triggering) Camera System is an all-in-one camera solution for travel time information and vehicle imaging. It is an easily installable, compact, single housing camera with a fully integrated license plate reading engine. This engine incorporates the camera, illuminator and ANPR processing.

The system is based on a high-resolution progressive scan Ethernet camera (color or monochrome) with selectable lenses with focus lengths from 3 meters to 15 meters. Optionally, a fully integrated overview camera (color or monochrome) can be part of the system.

The IIT Camera System includes a built-in IR illuminator which provides sufficient light for night time operation, and provides an interface for triggering external flash or light sources.

Installation is easy with minimal requirements and provides a variety of different interfaces and options for transmittal of images. Available outputs include GPRS and Ethernet, as well as wireless options. Image output format can be set for either TIFF, or JPEG with adjustable compression ratio. The system is designed for low power operation (24 V DC power supply). The single housing camera includes heater and demister for 24/7 operation under all weather conditions.

The IIT Camera System can be used in many different vehicle imaging applications such as: real-time travel information, security access control, congestion charging systems, electronic toll collection, open road tolling, parking entry and exit enforcement and traffic monitoring.
