JAI cameras have been used in demanding aerospace and defense system applications for nearly 15 years. Selected for their high speed, high resolution, compactness and robust construction, these cameras have met the challenges of accuracy and reliability under the most rigorous conditions.

Our imaging products have been components of night vision devices, navigational systems, data relay systems, and remotely piloted vehicles. JAI cameras have been used in experimental satellite retrieval procedures, such as the Spartan Aircraft Guidance System, and as airborne cameras and cockpit display recording cameras.

Several camera models have been specifically created to handle the rigorous requirements and harsh environments of military applications. The cameras listed in the "MIL-Enhanced" table below have been built and tested to meet one or more military specifications, including resistance to vibration and shock, extended operating temperatures, and a modular design for easier configurability.

For extreme low-light applications, JAI offers cameras with intensified CCDs. These monochrome, interlaced cameras are available with Gen II, Gen III, or Gen III Ultra Intensifiers, and offer EIA or CCIR standard resolutions. The small size and integrated lens controller makes these cameras suitable for use in applications where little or no operator interface is required (such as RPV's, unmanned covert installations, etc.).
